The Road Goes Ever On and On

Hey fellow humans how are you? Did you try the CHALLENGE? how did it work out. Don't worry if u didn't get anything, it took me a long time to get to where i am in my relationship with Jesus.Remember "nothing worthwhile is ever easy. These things take time."

Funny Story:

Once i was in my backyard when i saw something pulling a plant out of my yard into my neighbors yard (the plant was right by the fence. I thought it was a squirrel so i started to hiss at hit and bark like a dog to scare it away. Then my neighbor stood up and looked over the fence at me. Turns out one of her plants grew through the fence and was in our yard so she was pulling it back on tto their side. I looked at her and she looked at me. I ran away.

How Great is Our God ... Let me Tell You

So one day i was praying and this is what Jesus told me.

"For I know the path i have made for you. I have mad straight the path in the desert. I know the path well. I know every rock, bump and stick, i know where you will turn off the path and where you will come back on. Know that i go before you always, come follow me."

After this i got an image of a long road going of into a sun set. The path was going through the desert and was perfectly straight. As i was drawing this i drew me at the start of the path and then i felt compelled to write "Where is the Path" I could see how blind we are to the path God ha made for us. It is right in front of us but we always turn off the path because we think that it is an easier path. Then i realized that when we turn off the path we are turning 90 degrees of the path. we aren't moving forward any more. When we do turn back we are still not moving very far forward. but when we turn around when we make a turn it is the we move the most forward (other than when we are on the path). If you could see the picture i drew this would be much simpler.

What i am trying to say is that God gave us a path and it is straight forward. that doesn't mean it will be easy but it is there. We need to close our eyes and open our hearts. "on peut voir bien que avec les yeux de coeur" that means we can only see well with the eyes of our heart" If we just listen to what God wants us to do then we can walk down the path. Close your eyes and follow his voice.

The Challenge:

Ok so the challenge for today is letting go. Just let go. Let go of your fears, regretts, weaknesses and anger. Let It Go and follow God. Close you eyes and ask God what is your path, ask what it is you have to let go of. Here is a great song by tenth avenue north listen to it and think about the words.

"we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us." (Romans 5:3-5)

Saint of the Day

Blessed John lived in the first half of the fourteenth century. He has a sister who is also "blessed," Blessed Lucy of Amelia. They were members of the Bufalari family from the Umbria region of Italy. John felt a call to religious life. He was attracted to the order of St. Augustine and wanted to be a brother. John was accepted into the order and found himself immediately at home. He loved to pray and to meditate about Jesus, Mary and the saints. He learned how to talk to God, his Father, and he especially took the opportunities to serve at Mass. People from the neighboring towns came to Mass at the church of the Augustinians. They noticed the brother who was always there. He was so peaceful and kind. Brother John went out of his way to welcome them. He made them feel at home.

When people came to the monastery in need, Brother John was there to greet and welcome them. For those who were staying overnight, he would bring them to the guest rooms and wait on them. He would make sure they had food, medicine and whatever else the monastery could give.

The years passed. Brother John continued his religious life with the quiet rhythm of a clock. He was steady and stable. Blessed John remained joyful in his vocation until his death in 1350. It was no surprise to anybody who had come to the monastery when miracles started to be reported at his tomb. Brother John was not going to let his death stop him from performing his ministry for Jesus.
